What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a minimally-invasive treatment to contour your body by removing fat and tightening sagging skin. Similar to liposuction, BodyTite uses radio frequency-assisted lipolysis, or RFAL, to promote fat coagulation around the treatment area. This also helps tighten the fibrous tissue in the skin, which helps contour your look. BodyTite is powered by directional radiofrequency (RF) to apply thermal energy above and below the skin, which is how it’s able to remove fat and tighten skin simultaneously. The BodyTite Procedure

BodyTite is considered an outpatient procedure. You’ll be given a local anesthetic to numb the target area before the doctor begins. The procedure time will vary depending on the area but is usually under two hours.

The BodyTite device consists of two small RF transmitting probes connected to a handpiece. A small incision will be made, through which the doctor will insert one of the RF probes. The second RF probe is kept on top of your skin. This placement allows the doctor to move the handpiece, sending electrical currents between both probes. The RF frequencies heat the tissue in targeted areas to coagulate fat. This also stimulates collagen growth, which in turn causes the skin to contract and tighten. After this process, the doctor will use a cannula, or thin tube, to suck out the coagulated fat. Once the procedure is complete, the doctor will close the small incision. If there are multiple areas being treated, this process of numbing, incision, RF frequencies, and vacuuming, will be repeated.

Recovery from BodyTite

After your procedure, you will likely experience bruising, numbness, and swelling. This will begin to improve in a few days, though swelling can take several weeks to completely subside. This recovery timeline is far faster than traditional liposuction, where recovery can last for more than a month.

BodyTite Results

Your results will start to become visible within two weeks as your swelling goes down. However, since your body will continue to remove fat and tighten skin due to increased collagen production, it may take up to six months to see complete results. During that time, your body contours will continue to improve; most of our Temecula BodyTite patients experience up to 47% skin contraction within six months of the procedure.
