Real Gynecomastia Surgery Before and After Photos

She was kind and very knowledgeable. I had an issue in the past with Botox causing me headaches and pressure in my sinus area. She suggested using a lesser amount, taking Advil immediately, and drinking water. I did get a mild headache, but did as she suggested, and within 90 minutes it was gone and did not return. The results were great. I just wanted mild results, and I am very happy with them!
There is a barely (and I mean the least minimal) scar that you can barely see right on my lip line. Her precision was excellent, it's like the cyst wasn't even there!
Dr. Ford was extremely thorough with explaining the procedure and what to expect. Her bedside manner was warm and compassionate. I felt like I was sitting with a best friend. I never felt rushed or dismissed. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon.
Everyone in this office is extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed. Dr. Eichenberg made me feel very comfortable during my first visit. I knew right then that he would be the one to perform my procedure. I was nervous before my pre op appointment, but after meeting with Patty I was so excited. I had such a wonderful experience with my surgery. The nurses who took care of me before and after my surgery were awesome. I knew I was in good hands that day. After my surgery, if I ever have any questions or concerns I call Patty. She is the best! If I ever want to get anything else done in the future, I will most definitely be coming back to Renuance!
I took my time and researched the procedures that interested me, then spent many hours cold calling, scrolling thru internet sites for said services, interviewing/meeting with physicians and their staff. And it paid off, that’s how I found Dr. Hill. He is an artist, skilled beyond description. His staff are highly educated and motivated individuals whom always kept my health and comfort a priority. His surgical team are the elite of their profession, many military veterans, and added comfort. Dr Hill and all the members of Renuance changed my life. I feel very close to them all, and am so thankful to have made this journey in their very graceful company. Dr Hill IS THE BEST!
I LOVE Dr. Debbie! She is kind, caring, and considerate. Definitely helps build trust in a relationship, which is MAJOR when getting work done!
The staff In it's entirety were genuinely concerned and very professional in all aspects of my visits, and the surgery itself.
I had a previous surgery through this center and was very satisfied with the results. I feel very comfortable with the doctor and staff and feel they could do the work I want done and I would be pleased with it.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. They were also conscience of my privacy. I appreciated how comfortable they were and how they made me feel comfortable also. Everyone I talked to had knowledge of their department and could answer other questions with confirmation that the information provided was accurate. The doctor was personable, funny, and easy to talk to. He gave me options my consultations before him didn't. I really felt like the whole staff and doctor really cared about their patients and wanted to provide the best care and service possible. Loved Dr Eichenberg and his beautiful staff!
Dr. Ford is just magical. Her work has changed my life. She is just gifted in her abilities. [Single best thing is...] How she was able to achieve the results she did with such little to work with. My results were way beyond my expectations.

1:1 Consultation

When you arrive for your consultation you will be greeted by the same coordinator you spoke to during your initial call. Together, you will go over your initial conversation before meeting with the specialist to discuss the operation itself.

Once you’ve met with the surgeon, you will receive a quote that matches the price range established with the coordinator. That means no surprise pricing once you are in our office. Our goal is for you to leave this consultation with a thorough understanding of the procedure and choice to book your surgery if you feel ready.

Procedure

On your surgery day, you’ll enjoy VIP parking close to our private entrance. Once inside, our team will guide you to a discreet area where you can change into your gown and prepare for the procedure. If a friend or family member accompanies you for support, they are welcome to wait in our lounge.

Gynecomastia surgery can take anywhere from 1 – 4 hours, depending on the extent of the correction. Your surgery will take place in an operating room equipped with advanced, hospital-grade technology and monitored by an on-site anesthesiologist and CRNAs for your safety. Following the procedure, you’ll recover in a private suite, where our nursing team will keep you comfortable until you are ready to leave.

Frequently Asked Questions About Gynecomastia

Will people be able to tell I had surgery?

While you’ll notice an immediate difference, the changes appear natural once healed. The small incisions are hidden around the areola, and most patients find they can confidently wear fitted shirts within 2-3 months. Many of our patients tell us friends and family just notice they look “more fit” or ask if they’ve been working out.

How painful is the surgery and recovery?

Most patients describe the discomfort as soreness similar to an intense chest workout, rather than sharp pain. You’ll have prescription pain medication for the first few days, but many patients switch to over-the-counter pain relievers after 3-4 days. The compression vest you’ll wear might feel tight but helps minimize discomfort.

What exactly happens during the surgery?

The procedure takes 2-3 hours under general anesthesia. The surgeon removes excess glandular tissue and fat through small incisions around your areola. If needed, we also reshape the area to match your chest’s natural contours. You’ll go home the same day.

How long until I can go back to work and normal life?

Most desk job workers return to work in 5-7 days. Physical jobs may require 2-3 weeks off. You can drive once you’re off pain medication (usually 3-4 days). Light exercise like walking is encouraged after a week, but avoid heavy lifting or chest workouts for 6 weeks. Most patients feel “back to normal” by 3-4 weeks.

Will my chest tissue come back if I gain weight?

The removed breast tissue won’t grow back, but significant weight gain can affect your results since remaining fat cells can expand. Maintaining a stable weight helps ensure long-lasting results. We’ll discuss lifestyle strategies during your recovery to help maintain your results.

What exactly does the consultation involve?

During your consultation, we’ll examine your chest, discuss your concerns and goals, take measurements, and explain your treatment options. This is also when we’ll review costs, financing options, and recovery details. Many patients find it helpful to bring a list of questions or photos showing their desired outcome.

What are the possible side effects?

While complications are rare, it’s important to understand the potential risks. These include temporary numbness around the nipples, minor asymmetry, seroma (fluid collection), and typical surgery risks like infection. We’ll discuss your specific risk factors and how we minimize them during your consultation.

How do I know if I really need surgery versus just losing weight?

If you have firm glandular tissue (feels like a rubbery disc under the nipple) rather than just soft fat, this typically won’t go away with diet and exercise alone. During your consultation, we can determine whether your case is primarily glandular tissue, fat, or a combination, and recommend the most appropriate treatment.

How soon can I go shirtless or swim after surgery?

Most patients can swim and go shirtless comfortably after 6-8 weeks. The incisions need to be fully healed to prevent infection, and you’ll want most of the swelling gone. Some patients prefer to wait 3-4 months until all residual swelling is gone and scars have started to fade. We’ll give you specific guidance based on how you’re healing and recommend scar care products to help speed up the fading process.

What if one side is bigger than the other - can you fix that?

Yes, addressing asymmetry is a common part of gynecomastia surgery. Many men naturally have one side larger than the other. During surgery, we carefully measure and adjust both sides to create balanced, natural-looking results. We’ll show you how we plan to achieve symmetry during your consultation and take detailed measurements to ensure even results.

What do I need to do before surgery to get the best results?

For the best outcome, stop smoking at least 4 weeks before surgery (and maintain this during recovery), maintain a stable weight, avoid supplements and medications that can increase bleeding (we’ll provide a list), and arrange for someone to help you for the first 24-48 hours after surgery. Many patients find it helpful to prepare their recovery space with easy-to-reach items, button-up shirts, and healthy snacks.
