How Does Radiesse Work?

Radiesse is made of a gel substance and a biodegradable substance called calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). Over time, as the CaHA processes, you will notice your skin’s quality has improved.

Your Radiesse Treatment

Most Radiesse procedures take about 30-45 minutes. The injections can be temporarily uncomfortable, but you may ask for a topical anesthetic to numb your skin in the injection area. Your plastic surgeon will then inject the needle just below your skin’s surface and deposit the dermal filler. After the injection, your doctor may adjust the location and distribution of the filler by massaging your face.
