What is ThermiVa?

ThermiVa is a handheld medical device that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy to a targeted area. This energy warms the tissues below the skin, causing them to contract and tighten. As a result, the body’s natural processes increase blood flow and cell development in this site.

The device looks like a thin wand, similar to a medical speculum. Women who have ThermiVa at our practice tell us that the treatment is very comfortable and not painful. After receiving treatment with ThermiVa Temecula patients have reported a noticeable improvement in their sex life, their bladder control, and the aesthetics of their labial skin. Renuance performs treatment for patients with a goal of:

We want every visit to our practice to be comfortable and supportive for our Temecula ThermiVa patients. Our team at large includes Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons and Registered Nurses with more than 15 years of experience.

During your visit, you’ll speak with your Renuance nurse about the concerns you are having — functional, cosmetic, or otherwise — and can discuss whether ThermiVa is a good option. Our practice prioritizes patient satisfaction, and we will treat you as a partner in the planning process to ensure this outcome. During your consultation, you will have ample time to ask questions about ThermiVa and to learn what you can expect in our care. Sometimes, we can perform treatment on the same day as the initial visit, depending on the schedule.

Your Experience with ThermiVa

Patients have all of their consultations, follow-ups, and treatments at Renuance’s office. This affords women a high degree of privacy and allows them to receive care from the same familiar staff at every visit.

Treatment with Thermiva will take about one hour. During the appointment, the registered nurse will apply the device to the areas that you want to address: the labia for exterior concerns and the vaginal canal for interior treatment. Our Riverside County patients describe the sensation as “warm but not uncomfortable.” Typically, patients will have ThermiVa once every six months to maintain the benefits of their care.

Most patients feel well enough that they can go home and be active, take part in their normal routine. They are actually encouraged to be intimate on the same day. Because treatment encourages an increase in blood flow and the development of new tissue, the improvement you get is likely to become more noticeable over the months that follow. As a result, you should experience an improvement in your daily comfort, increased sensation during sex, and better control over incontinence.

Can ThermiVa Improve Orgasmic Dysfunction?

Many women have difficulty achieving an orgasm, but ThermiVa can help. The heat produced by this treatment, which tightens skin, is believed to increase blood flow to the female genitals, creating an increase in collagen and elastin which can have a tightening effect.

How Can ThermiVa Help with Bladder Incontinence?

Many Riverside County patients experience an improvement in bladder incontinence after treatment with ThermiVa. Physicians like our doctors believe the reason is that the treatment tightens tissues in the genitals.

Dr Rodriguez was amazing! First of all most of my consult and preop was done remotely from Colorado, and was seamless. Even with the office changing locations, things were in good order with schedule changes and communication. The doctor actually listened and the office worked with me on pricing and timing because I was flying in and out for surgery and post ops. He was also willing to sedate me, which was a slim offering in Denver (where I live). Overall great experience, very happy with my results and would definitely recommend this practice!
