Real Breast Implant Revision Before and After Photos

I can’t rave enough about Renuance. The entire staff has been absolutely incredible! Everyone is extremely informative and welcoming. Every time I’m there it feels like catching up with family and friends. Dr. Hill performed my surgery and I’m still just blown away with the work he did. Being a mom of three and breastfeeding all of them, I was left with very little breast tissue, sagging, and a lot of loose skin. With my job as a personal trainer and having a history of competing in bodybuilding competitions, it really had an impact on not only my job, but my day to day, like what I could even wear. The difference is day and night. I feel so great about my body now. While I knew I really wanted a breast augmentation, I didn’t realize how much it was affecting my confidence. I can’t thank Dr. Hill enough.
I absolutely LOVE Renuance Cosmetic Surgery &Spa!!! I only get Botox right now, but in the future, I may want to do a bit more. I never have felt pressured to do more, and I love that!! All the people who work at the Murrieta location are so kind, helpful, and nice!! LOVE IT HERE!!!
I have never had a bad experience at Renuance and only good things to say! When I decided to look into breast augmentation, I knew the moment I met Dr. Rachel Ford that she would be my surgeon of choice. She made me feel so comfortable, answered all my questions, has the sweetest disposition and is extremely knowledgeable. She is so caring and honest and knew exactly what I wanted. I would recommend her to friends and family without hesitation! I love the outcome of my surgery and have had no problems! The entire staff at Renuance is friendly and helpful as well. I feel like family there! I am an older woman and since I had my breast augmentation, I have regained so much more confidence. I feel younger and look nicer in my clothes. It has given me a new outlook on life!! I am so glad I made the decision to have the surgery!
Love everything about this practice. I have been coming here for years and will continue to use this practice for all of my needs.
The doctor carefully explained where I needed Botox and she is an expert on administration. Very little pain, no bruising, and zero side effects.
Dr Hill articulated the procedure that would be required to achieve what I initially made the appointment for. Miranda also showed me pictures of actual patients before and after the surgery. Both Dr Hill and Miranda were very patient to answer my questions.
I trusted Dr. Ford since I met her for the first time, she is knowledgeable, straightforward, and patient and her voice is so calming. All staff was amazing from the front desk ladies so nice, Helen, Maria from the surgery center, and my sweet anesthesiologist.
Having any kind of surgery is scary but the doctor and his staff all made it as pleasant as possible. They treat you like family!
Staff is as helpful and friendly. Very informative and responsive to my calls. Dr Ford was very informative and made me feel calm and comforting during the entire experience.
1000 stars if they can be given! Highly recommend Dr. Cohen absolutely Fabulous! I was extremely scared and did my search until I found perfection and that’s exactly how Dr. Cohen is. Very detailed from beginning to end on every step and making sure all your questions are answered and definitely made me feel great about my decision. The staff is 100 percent Super Friendly and his nurse was absolutely the best love her! You will not regret it your in perfect hands just trust the process.

Phone screening

Considering breast implant revision? Get informed from the comfort of your home. During a free 20-30 minute call, you’ll speak with our surgical coordinator about the procedure and receive a transparent price range upfront. This isn’t a sales call – it’s your opportunity to gather information without the obligation to schedule a consultation.

1:1 consultation

When you come in for your visit, you’ll see the same person you talked to on the phone. They’ll go over what you discussed before you meet the doctor. You’ll then have a thorough conversation (about 30-45 minutes) with one of our breast implant revision surgeons about what you want to achieve.

After you’ve finished talking with the doctor, your coordinator will give you the price quote. Don’t worry – it’ll be within the range you heard about on the phone. You’ll leave with a treatment plan, and if you’re ready, we can even set a date for your procedure right then and there.

Procedure

On your surgery day, you’ll have a designated parking spot right by our private entrance. Once you’re inside, our team will take you to a quiet area, away from other patients. Then, you’ll get changed into a gown in your private changing room.

How long your procedure takes depends on what you’ve chosen. If you’re just having your implants removed (explantation), it might be quicker. If you’re getting new implants (an exchange), it could take a bit longer. Your doctor will let you know what to expect for your specific case.

Your procedure will take place in our fully-equipped operating room, with an anesthesiologist present throughout. Afterward, you’ll recover in our private on-site facility under professional nursing care.

Body Contouring FAQ

How do I know if I need a breast implant revision?

You might need a revision if you’re experiencing discomfort, changes in breast shape, hardening of the breasts, or if you’re simply unhappy with how your implants look. Signs that it’s time for a revision include pain, asymmetry, visible rippling, or changes in implant position. If you’re concerned, it’s best to come in for an evaluation.

Will my breast implant revision hurt more than my initial surgery?

Many patients find that revision surgery is less painful than their original procedure. However, everyone’s experience is different. We use advanced pain management techniques to keep you comfortable during and after surgery. Most patients describe the discomfort as manageable with prescribed pain medication.

How long is the recovery after breast implant revision?

Recovery time can vary, but most patients return to light activities within a week and resume normal routines after 2-3 weeks. Full recovery, including returning to strenuous exercise, typically takes about 6 weeks. We’ll provide you with a detailed recovery timeline based on your specific procedure.

Can I go bigger (or smaller) with my implants during revision?

Yes, many patients use revision surgery as an opportunity to change their implant size. We can help you choose a size that better fits your current aesthetic goals and lifestyle. Keep in mind that significant size changes might require additional techniques like a breast lift to ensure the best results.

Will insurance cover my breast implant revision?

Insurance coverage depends on the reason for revision. If it’s due to a medical issue like capsular contracture or implant rupture, insurance may cover part of the cost. Revisions for cosmetic reasons are typically not covered. We can help you understand your coverage and discuss financing options during your consultation.

I've heard about 'en bloc' capsule removal. Is this necessary for all revisions?

En bloc removal, where the implant and surrounding capsule are removed as one unit, isn’t necessary for all revisions. We’ll discuss whether this technique is appropriate for your situation during your consultation.

How long do revised implants last?

While implants don’t have an expiration date, they’re not considered lifetime devices. Many patients find their revised implants last 10-15 years or more. Regular check-ups and imaging studies can help monitor your implants’ condition over time.

Can I have my implants removed without replacing them?

Absolutely. This is called explantation. If you choose this option, we’ll discuss whether additional procedures like a breast lift might be beneficial to address any sagging that occurs after implant removal. Our goal is to ensure you’re happy with your results, with or without implants.

I'm nervous about surgery again. How can I ensure better results this time?

It’s natural to feel nervous but remember that revision surgery benefits from the experience of your first procedure. We’ll take time to understand what you didn’t like about your previous results and use advanced techniques to address those issues. Clear communication about your goals, choosing an experienced surgeon, and following all pre- and post-operative instructions will help ensure better results.

How soon after my original breast augmentation can I have a revision?

While there’s no set rule, we typically recommend waiting at least 6 months to a year after your initial surgery before considering a revision. This allows time for swelling to fully resolve and for your implants to settle into their final position. However, if you’re experiencing complications, we may recommend revision sooner.
