My implants were 21 years old and one of them finally popped. After meeting with Dr Ford i knew I had my Dr. From consultation to last check up, she has been amazing. She listened to what I wanted, gave me above and beyond what I asked for and she cares so much about you and your outcome. Always there to answer questions i may have no matter how crazy it sounded and she put me at ease where my concerns about my ruptured implants may have bordered a lil loopy at times. Always so professional and honestly, I will sing her praises from the rooftops but a special consideration to the rest of the staff also. They were all so very helpful and caring. I have been getting Botox for approximately 19 years. Now at 53 years old, I haven't been happy with Botox results for a few years like when I was younger. The reason is that Botox feels very heavy on my eye lids, and tight. This was my first time seeing Dr Debbie and she changed this for me. First, she took the time to listen to me, she is a very gentle injector, and best of all she is a master at this. She knew exactly where to inject the Botox so that it wouldn't make my eyes hooded. It's so amazing, the placement of the Botox is as perfect as it gets! After 20 days, it looks even better, I can see my crease again, almost like I had an eyelid lift... no more crows feet. Best part is I still have movement and it feels very comfortable. Also I love that she used Less Botox than my previous treatments. She's an amazing Doctor.

Procedure

On the day of your eyelid surgery, you’ll find reserved parking next to our private entrance. Our team will guide you to a secluded area, separate from other patients, where you’ll change into a surgical gown in your own private room.

Blepharoplasty typically takes 1 to 3 hours, depending on whether you’re having upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both treated.

The surgery will be performed in our operating room, with a dedicated anesthesiologist on-site. For upper blepharoplasty done without the lower one, we use local anesthesia. Following the procedure, you’ll recover in our private facility, monitored by our nursing staff.

Blepharoplasty FAQ

Will I have visible scars after blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty scars are typically very well-hidden. For upper eyelids, the incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid. For lower eyelids, we often make the incision just below the lash line or inside the eyelid. These scars usually fade to become nearly invisible over time.

How long will I need to take off work after eyelid surgery?

Most patients can return to office work within 7-10 days. If your job is more physically demanding, you might need up to two weeks off. We recommend planning for at least a week of downtime to allow for initial healing and for most of the visible bruising to subside.

Will blepharoplasty change the shape of my eyes?

Our goal is to enhance your natural eye shape, not change it dramatically. We aim to create a more refreshed, open look while maintaining your unique features. If you have specific concerns about your eye shape, we can discuss this during your consultation.

Can blepharoplasty fix my droopy eyelids that are blocking my vision?

Yes, blepharoplasty can significantly improve vision problems caused by excess upper eyelid skin. In fact, if your droopy eyelids are impacting your field of vision, your insurance may cover part of the procedure. We can perform tests to determine if you qualify for insurance coverage.

Will I be able to close my eyes properly after surgery?

How soon can I wear contact lenses and makeup after blepharoplasty?

We typically recommend waiting about two weeks before wearing contact lenses and about 10-14 days before applying eye makeup. This allows your incisions to heal properly and reduces the risk of irritation or infection. We’ll provide you with detailed post-operative instructions.

I only need my upper eyelids done. Is the surgery easier or quicker?

Upper eyelid surgery alone is generally a simpler procedure than combining upper and lower eyelids. It usually takes about an hour and can often be done under local anesthesia with sedation. Recovery time might also be slightly shorter, but it still requires proper care for optimal healing and results.
