Dr Rodriguez was amazing! First of all most of my consult and preop was done remotely from Colorado, and was seamless. Even with the office changing locations, things were in good order with schedule changes and communication. The doctor actually listened and the office worked with me on pricing and timing because I was flying in and out for surgery and post ops. He was also willing to sedate me, which was a slim offering in Denver (where I live). Overall great experience, very happy with my results and would definitely recommend this practice!

I came in as a first time patient and I was scheduled with Chelsea. I decided to get cheek fillers for the first time ever and I am so happy I did. I first met with Dr. Debbie, whose meticulous approach began with a thorough discussion of medical conditions and potential reactions, ensuring a tailored experience. I was satisfied with the approach of the procedure explained to me and the promptness of the office staff to have me seen with Dr Eichenberg. The procedure I am looking to have done is only preformed by very specific physicians. The staff was nonjudgmental and treated me with respect the entire time and very accommodating to my needs.

Everyone in this facility was extremely polite, informative, caring, and comforting during my consultation. I ended up scheduling my surgery after I met with the Dr. and was pleased with his professional advice and bedside manner. This was actually the first Dr. I went to for a consultation about my procedure and ended up canceling all other future appts with other doctors.

The telephone operator in my initial call was very nice and answered my questions and helped me set up an appointment that for my schedule. My consult was excellent the staff was very friendly & welcoming. The surgeon was extremely patient, took his time answering all my questions and concerns. Addressed issues and the corrections that he would be making. He seemed like he geniuly cares for his patients. The facility was super clean and nice. After leaving the facility I felt very content and will deferently be going back to get my procedure done when I'm ready.

When you arrive for your visit, you’ll meet the same coordinator you spoke with on the phone. They’ll review your previous discussion before introducing you to the doctor. You’ll then have an in-depth 30-45 minutes conversation with one of our plastic surgeons about your goals.

Procedure

On the day of your eyelid surgery, you’ll find reserved parking next to our private entrance. Our team will guide you to a secluded area, separate from other patients, where you’ll change into a surgical gown in your own private room.

Blepharoplasty typically takes 1 to 3 hours, depending on whether you’re having upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both treated.

The surgery will be performed in our operating room, with a dedicated anesthesiologist on-site. For upper blepharoplasty done without the lower one, we use local anesthesia. Following the procedure, you’ll recover in our private facility, monitored by our nursing staff.

Blepharoplasty FAQ

Will I have visible scars after blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty scars are typically very well-hidden. For upper eyelids, the incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid. For lower eyelids, we often make the incision just below the lash line or inside the eyelid. These scars usually fade to become nearly invisible over time.

How long will I need to take off work after eyelid surgery?

Most patients can return to office work within 7-10 days. If your job is more physically demanding, you might need up to two weeks off. We recommend planning for at least a week of downtime to allow for initial healing and for most of the visible bruising to subside.

Will blepharoplasty change the shape of my eyes?

Our goal is to enhance your natural eye shape, not change it dramatically. We aim to create a more refreshed, open look while maintaining your unique features. If you have specific concerns about your eye shape, we can discuss this during your consultation.

Can blepharoplasty fix my droopy eyelids that are blocking my vision?

Yes, blepharoplasty can significantly improve vision problems caused by excess upper eyelid skin. In fact, if your droopy eyelids are impacting your field of vision, your insurance may cover part of the procedure. We can perform tests to determine if you qualify for insurance coverage.

I'm worried about looking 'overdone' or having that 'surprised' look. How do you prevent this?

We understand this concern. Our approach is always to create natural-looking results. We carefully measure and plan how much skin and fat to remove to avoid an overdone appearance. Our goal is for you to look refreshed and more awake, not surprised or ‘windblown’.

How long do the results of blepharoplasty last?

Blepharoplasty results are typically long-lasting. While it doesn’t stop the aging process, many patients enjoy their results for 10-15 years or more. The lower eyelids rarely need to be redone, while the upper eyelids might need a touch-up after a decade or so.

Can I combine blepharoplasty with other procedures?

Yes, many patients combine blepharoplasty with other facial procedures like a facelift, brow lift, or non-surgical treatments like Botox or dermal fillers. This can provide more comprehensive rejuvenation. We can discuss combination options based on your goals during your consultation.

Will I be able to close my eyes properly after surgery?

Yes, you will be able to close your eyes normally after healing. During the first few days post-surgery, your eyelids might feel tight, but this resolves quickly. We’re very careful to remove just the right amount of skin to improve your appearance without affecting eyelid function.

How soon can I wear contact lenses and makeup after blepharoplasty?

We typically recommend waiting about two weeks before wearing contact lenses and about 10-14 days before applying eye makeup. This allows your incisions to heal properly and reduces the risk of irritation or infection. We’ll provide you with detailed post-operative instructions.

I only need my upper eyelids done. Is the surgery easier or quicker?

Upper eyelid surgery alone is generally a simpler procedure than combining upper and lower eyelids. It usually takes about an hour and can often be done under local anesthesia with sedation. Recovery time might also be slightly shorter, but it still requires proper care for optimal healing and results.
